Life:Moving is a collaboration between academics, a filmmaker and John Taylor Hospice, resulting in a series of remarkable films. The Life:Moving project is a unique collaboration between researchers, photographer and film-maker, Briony Campbell, and hospice patients. It explores the power of film to communicate the meaningful and honest experiences of those affected by terminal illness. Focusing on the needs of people with a terminal illness, their families, communities and the organisations that support them, participants were given the skills and support to create audio-visual stories. These stories provide a range of benefits for the individuals taking part but also for wider understandings of the needs of these groups.
